Terms of Service

The short version: use Dosset for its intended purpose, your wardrobe stays yours, our styling suggestions are opinions rather than instructions, and subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google under their rules.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Dosset ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Dosset app or this website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Dosset. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of this agreement.
2. Who may use Dosset
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
3. Your content stays yours
Your wardrobe entries, photos, and notes belong to you. We claim no ownership of them.
You grant us only the permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, display it back to you, and process it to generate outfits and styling notes — including sending garment photos and outfit attributes to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. This permission exists so the product can function and ends when you delete the content or your account.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it is not unlawful or infringing.
4. What Dosset is — and is not
Dosset offers styling suggestions: opinions produced by a scoring engine and, for some features, an AI model. They are not professional advice, they will sometimes be wrong or simply not to your taste, and you are free to ignore them. Scores and grades are relative judgements about how pieces work together, not objective facts.
Weather information comes from a third-party provider and may be inaccurate or delayed. Do not rely on Dosset for decisions where accurate weather matters.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- break the law, or use Dosset to infringe someone's rights;
- upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or sexually explicit;
- attempt to access another user's account or data;
- probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or bypass its limits or paid features;
- resell or redistribute the service, or use it to build a competing dataset or product.
6. Subscriptions and payment
Dosset offers free features and a paid subscription unlocking additional ones, including the AI styling features.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms. We never receive your payment details.
- Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in your Apple or Google account settings; cancelling stops future charges and access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us.
- Prices may change. We will give notice before a change affects a renewal.
7. Availability
We are actively developing Dosset. Features may change, and we may add, alter, or remove them. The service needs an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
8. Your data, and backups
We take care with your data (see the Privacy Policy) but we do not guarantee against loss. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, including photos.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Dosset and delete your account at any time — email support@dosset.net (in-app deletion is on the way). We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or where required by law. Any subscription already paid through Apple or Google is dealt with under their refund policies.
10. Our intellectual property
Dosset — the app, the website, the name, the mark, the 3D assets and the styling engine — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose, nothing more.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, Dosset is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or that the service will be error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Dosset. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer you keep your statutory rights.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of business, and disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless consumer protection law in your country gives you the right to bring a claim locally — in which case that right stands.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Dosset after that means you accept the new terms.
